Every Thursday from 9 am to 1 pm: Learn to plant with local experts!
1.5 hr class taught by Wade Bauer followed by hands on application and then delicious lunch. By selecting plants that are "locally adapted" (have adjusted to local growing conditions, or are from similar climates in origin), we choose the right plants for the right place in Puna, Hawai'i. These plants are easy to grow, disease resistant and long lived, plant once and with minimal care they will thrive for many years. Work where it counts, least work for greatest effect! Classes will focus on plants adapted to our climate, how to propagate, grow, harvest, save seed, use (including recipes), and how to place into a landscape using Permaculture design principles.
$10 requested donation, vegetarian lunch included
Special Limited Time Offer for May and June. Get four classes each month for $30 instead of $40.(buy 3 get one free)
